VIP Events

VIP Events – These are events where only “VIP Players” will be able to play. We will be filming “Mini ESPN 8 The Ocho” TV shows at these events.  1 to 2 minutes of this footage will be on next year’s “ESPN 8 The Ocho” TV show that airs the first week of August on ESPN 2.

These events will almost always take place in the Southwest. This is because if the NPT is travelling across the country for a tournament, it would almost always be an open tournament to allow for a full player field.

These events will have a great course setup, but the buy ins and games players will be able to play will be very minimal. I have created a list of VIP players that you can view by going here:

For VIP players, there will be two options for the entry fee.  Those will be:

Level 1 – $20.00 (This entry fee goes completely to the rake.  The winner in this division will win a meager prize.)

Level 2 – $200.00 ($20.00 of this entry will go to a rake.  $180.00 will go into a cash prize pool.  We will pay roughly the top 40% to 50%.)

These “VIP Events” events will not have a hole in one, best round or a big scoreboard.  They will not have multiple divisions with multiple levels.  They will be simple, stroke play tournaments with just two simple levels of entry. 

Scores will be kept on a small sheet on the tournament table, and we will also be using Squabbit for live scoring. 

These tournaments will have a limited field and just one money game to create less work for the National Putting Tour. This will allow the NPT to focus more on filming.
